The Eco-Chic Baby began when we had our daughter. I knew at that moment that I wanted to become a full time stay at home mom and eventually, a part time work at home mom. After all the various toy recalls and a faulty toy scare of our own, we decided that enough was enough. Our daughter, and every other child, deserves safe and healthy toys to play with. It's just that simple! I began to research different types of toys that were safe, non-toxic, and natural. From our toy search sprung clothing options, organic bath and body care, natural fabrics, handmade baby items with flair, cloth diapers, and much more! I also discovered that these things were not readily available in my community. So then an idea became reality. I decided that I would combine working at home and being with my daughter, with helping concerned moms and families find eco-friendly, safe, and non-toxic items for their children. Being a modern mum, I found that many environmentally sound products were boring, expensive, or inconvienient. With this information, my search broadened and I took on the task of searching for products that were easy to use, chic and beautiful, and safe for children. What did I find? We found it all, and we just had to share it with everyone else.
This is essentially where the name, The Eco-Chic Baby comes from. Modern eco-living without giving up a hip lifestyle.
Because I am a stay at home mum, my family comes first. I try to answer emails whenever I can, but sometimes I can only do the majority of my computer time during my daughter's naps and when she goes to bed for the night. I will do my very best to answer phone calls and emails promptly.
