One-Size or Sized Diapers? That is the question...
The one-sized diaper has been steadily gaining fast popularity with families and I often get asked what is the difference between a 'sized' diaper and a 'one-size'. A 'one-size' diaper is a diaper that you only need to buy once in that it literally grows with your baby from birth to potty training. A 'sized' diaper is exactly that - they usually come in xs, small, medium, large, and extra-large. I decided to put a handy dandy comparision chart (provided by Fuzzi Bunz) on the site so you and your family can make informed decisions about what will work best.
| One-Size Diaper | Sized Diaper |
| --> Adjustable from birth to toddler. |
--> Also adjustable within each size, however you need to size up once baby reaches groth milestone
|
| --> May only need one set of diapers depending on the quality of the one-size brand. | --> May need to buy 2-3 sizes of diapers as baby grows. |
| -->May wear out faster due to constant washing. | -->May last for several years and through several babies. |
|
--> May be bulkier and harder to get a true fit. |
--> Fits more snugly with less bulk |
| --> Do not fit very well on very small or very large babies. | --> Specialty sizes available for thos babies who are very small or very large. |
Remember every baby is different and what works on one baby may not work on another. It is a personal choice and my advice would be to use what works best with you, your family, and you budget.
